Bend is one of the most beautiful places you could ever visit during fall break, and your family will think so too! It’s a family-oriented community, so you’ll find plenty of Bend fall activities in town for the whole family to enjoy together. Here are some of our favorites which you won’t want to miss out on:

Where Do We Eat?

Jake’s Diner is one of our favorite places to head out and eat together as a family. With classic American food options, your kids will find something that suits their tastes on this menu within moments. Try the Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria for dinner with a view of the lovely Deschutes River, or consider any of the other eateries in the Old Mill District as you stroll around and window shop, like Boxwood Kitchen, Greg’s Grill, or Cafe Yumm!

What Should We Do?

Take your kids to Sun Mountain Fun Center for an afternoon of playtime and imagination at this indoor/outdoor amusement center that features bowling, mini-golf, bumper cars, and even more adult activities like billiards for the parents to enjoy. For something more relaxing, take the family to Tumalo State Park, where you can explore hiking trails and swim in a popular swimming hole. Pack in a picnic and plan to stay all day because Tumalo State Park is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. You can also head to the Lava River Cave for something a little more adventurous, or Bend Whitewater Park, or Newberry National Volcanic Monument. There are endless natural environments that the family can explore here in Bend.

What Bend Fall Activities Can the Whole Family Participate In?

If you really want to impress your kids this year on their fall break, take them to Bend Escape Room! It’s the perfect family activity, because the younger kids can rely on the older ones (and you) for help and still get all the fun of participating and solving the puzzle. Plus, you might end up having even more fun than the kids do. Another great family activity is visiting the High Desert Museum. It’s educational for both kids and adults, and your kids will go wild for all the different exhibits available for exploration here.
