You and the girls never need a reason to get away from the guys and enjoy a thrilling excursion to Bend, Oregon. However, if you have never been here before, you might be looking for how to spend that quality time with your friends. Here is how you can have an incredible girls’ getaway to Bend. Read about the fun things to do in Bend below:

Paulina Plunge

Guys are not the only ones who can enjoy the incredible outdoors surrounding Bend. Take the girls for a day-long excursion to Paulina Plunge, where you can find beautiful waterfalls and incredible hiking trails. This is something you will not see back home!

Wanderlust Tours

To continue your outdoor adventure, plan a tour around the Bend area with Wanderlust Tours. This award-winning agency has been offering premier tours for over 25 years. Explore a wild cave, paddle down the mighty Cascade Range, or even explore the Deschutes River by kayak. Book your tour online today at www.wanderlusttours.com. These are only some of the top things to do in Bend Oregon.

Winery Trail

Slow things down on your third day with a trip to the numerous local wineries in the region. While Bend is best known for its craft beer, it is also home to many prestigious wineries. The Naked Winery Tasting Room, found in the Old Mill District, lets you try out some of their delicious wine by the glass. Then head down the street to Va Piano to try wine from Washington and Oregon vineyards in a relaxing atmosphere.

Bend Ale Trail

The largest beer trail in the West, the Bend Ale Trail has over twenty breweries on the tour. Plan on spending a few days to visit them all! Visit ten breweries and get a prize from the Ben Visitor’s Center – a commemorative Bend Silipint. Or do your own tour! The Deschutes Brewery Tour is a must if you’re a craft brew lover. Try their Black Butte Porter; it’s one of the more popular craft brews in the area.

Old Mill District

The Old Mill District is not only home to incredible wine bars but also decadent restaurants and the Les Schwab Amphitheater. Les Schwab is the largest outdoor venue in the state of Oregon and is host to the biggest shows in all of Oregon. Musical acts that have been scheduled include Luke Bryan, Dave Matthews Band and Primus with Battles.

Before your big show, check out local restaurant favorites including Anthony’s for fine dining seafood. Or grab a slice at the Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria for delicious wood fired pizza. 900 Wall (great shrimp risotto) and Zydeco both have specialty cocktails and a lively, fun atmosphere.

You cannot find more exciting activities to enjoy in town than at the Old Mill District.

Mt Bachelor

Alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing are just a few of the snow-related activities Mt. Bachelor offers. And snowshoeing trails offer a quieter, slower paced activity for your group. No snow? Hiking up the trails for the amazing view from the top of the mountain is worth the effort. Plus, you can always take the gondola down. There’s also mountain biking and disc golf for those snowless months.

Spa Day

Treat you and your girls to a day of pampering in one of Bend’s resort-quality spas. Book a treatment at Jinsei Spa. The views of Mirror Lake are calming in themselves, but the hot stone massage will melt every tense muscle in your body. The Radiant Day Spa offers a view of the Deschutes River with their treatments and signature massages. For something a little different, book a Microbrew Soak in the Hop of the Day Spa. Yep, it’s a beer spa! Your private cedar soaking barrel is filled with herbs, minerals, and hops for a relaxing soak.

Shopping!

It may be a little on the nose, but there’s lots of fun shops here in Bend. And who doesn’t love trying on cowboy hats? Get your fill of cowboy and western gear and more at Cowgirl Cash. If authentic vintage western gear isn’t your style, head on to the Birkenstock store, Bronwen Handcrafted Jewelry, or The Wooden Jewel.

Take a few steps back in time at Trivia Antiques. And when was the last time you were in a bookstore or a music store? There are a few left here in Bend, including Ranch Records where you can find music (new and old) and tons of music memorabilia to browse through. Stop at Dudley’s Bookstore Café for a good read and a cup of locally roasted coffee or Prana Chai. And don’t miss the Bendy Dog – a doggy boutique with cool gifts for your faithful furry companion.
