October is one of our favorite times of year here in Bend, Oregon. The trees are all aflame with the shades of autumn, and once October hits, that means it’s time for Halloween activities! It’s the perfect time to come if you want to get involved with the community and spend some time both outdoors and indoors. Here are some of the events we’re most excited for this year:
No School Day Halloween Witches & Wizards
If you’re looking for a fun activity for the kids, make sure to get them tickets to this wacky and fun Halloween in Bend Oregon extravaganza. Give your kids the chance to feel like real witches and wizards. At this event, they’ll be learning about cultures around the world while playing make-believe with herbs, fire, and ancestral photos, while also enjoying standard Halloween treats. Ages 6-12. Tickets are $67, but if you buy them early (before September 9th) you’ll get a $10-off discount!
When: Fri, Oct 25, @ 9:00am – 3:30pm
Where: Skyliner Lodge, 319 NW Flagline Dr
Amigo the Devil
There’s nothing better than a little live music to brighten up your whole vacation and get you in the mood to party when Halloween comes around. Make sure to come up the weekend before Halloween to catch this awesome live show, featuring the talents of Amigo the Devil, King Dude, and Twin Temple.

Family Halloween Party
Every year, the shops at the Old Mill District celebrate Halloween as one. Make this your day to head down to the district to get your shopping in, and make sure to stop in for lunch at one of the restaurants. The shops will even be handing out treats for the trick-or-treaters in the evening.
When: Thu, October 31 @ 9:00am – 12:00pm
Where: Old Mill District, 450 SW Powerhouse Dr
Roundabout Art Route
Embarking on an adventure to see all the unique features on the Bend Roundabout Art Route is a great way to ensure that you see the whole city. Take your time and enjoy the various Halloween decorations around the city and all the lovely fall colors of the local foliage. The great thing about this activity is you can do it on any day, at any time you please, from any starting point. Just pick up a map at any brochure stand in town and return to Bend Visitor Center at the end for a prize! If you don’t get to see all 23, make sure you at least see the “Ghost” sculpture, in the spirit of the season.
