Tourist Attractions in Bend
There is much to do in the city of Bend and if you visit on vacation, there is not much time to do everything. There are a few attractions you should not miss.
Three Sisters Wilderness Area
The Three Sisters are part of the Cascades Volcanic Arch. They consist of three volcanic peaks that are right near one another and each peak is over 10,000 feet. The wilderness area that surrounds the mountains offers many different hiking trails for people of various levels of ability. There are some very challenging hikes in this area, so be sure to consult a ranger before you decide what hike you wish to take.
You will see many different types of fir and hemlock trees in the area. 40 miles of the famed Pacific Crest Trail runs through the area, and it is a great place to take a camping trip.

Scavenger hunts are all the rage in Oregon. They are a great way to enjoy the out of doors and learn a bit about the city you are visiting. Bend may be famous for its hiking and mountain biking trails, but you are on vacation and you may not want to work that hard. Why not see the city from a comfortable seat in a helicopter? Big Mountain Heli Tours offers several different helicopter tours of the High Desert area. Most tours are about half an hour long and can seat up to three people. The city of Bend is well known for its many food carts. The Podski Food Cart Lot features many of the town’s best carts.
