Our beautiful city of Bend is known primarily for three things: our awe-inspiring mountains, our ample opportunities for outdoor recreation, and our award-winning craft beer. However, Cascade Alchemy bucks the trend of craft breweries by being one of the best craft distilleries in town! Enjoy fine spirits made right in the heart of the Cascades and the High Desert. Read on to learn why this should be on your “must-see” list of things to do in Bend Oregon.
Craft Spirits and Liquors in Bend
Cascade Alchemy has six signature spirits, made using the pure and clean mountain water and natural ingredients that Bend has to offer. Among these spirits are Oregon gin made with juniper berries from the Badlands, Chai Tea Vodka made using the distillery’s own vodka and locally-made chai tea, in-house bourbon whiskey, barley shine, and apple pie vodka. Variations on these spirits include aged Oregon gin and Hot Pepper vodka.
The ambiance at Cascade Alchemy is quaint, but homey for grabbing a handcrafted cocktail or a flight of tasters. Throughout the Bend area, you’ll find that many local restaurants and bars carry the unique spirits that Cascade Alchemy has to offer, meaning that even if you don’t get a chance to visit this fine distillery, you can still sample what they have to offer at famous locations, such as Pronghorn Resort’s on-site bar.
Cascade Alchemy also offers tours of their distillery facility in which you can see just what goes into making these fantastic local liquors, as well as free tastings of their spirits on-site. You’ll find the distillery on the north side of Bend at 20585 Brinson Blvd., Suite 5, Bend, OR 97701, across the highway from Bend River Plaza and Bend River Promenade. You can also reach the distillery by phone at (541) 647-4363, or by email at email@example.com.
The distillery opens at 9:00am and closes at 4:00pm Monday through Friday. On weekends, visit between 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday; the distillery closes all day on Sundays. We recommend visiting Cascade Alchemy between 11:00am and 3:00pm throughout the week for the best experience! Bend breweries have something for everyone!
